As a wedding photographer, I am constantly searching for those quiet, intimate moments that hold so much meaning and emotion. This image is one of my favorites, capturing a beautiful moment between a bride and her mother just before the ceremony. It’s a scene filled with love, support, and a touch of nostalgia as the mother adjusts her daughter’s veil, preparing her for one of the most important steps of her life.
The soft, natural light streaming in through the window bathes the bride in a warm glow, highlighting the intricate details of her gown and the serene expression on her face. The mother’s gentle touch and the bride’s slight, joyful smile tell a story of a bond that is deep and enduring. This is a moment they will both remember, and I am honoured to have preserved it in such an evocative way. The look on the bride's face is that of excitement which I just love. This turned out to be one of those moments in just the right location where everything seemed to come together to form the perfect image.
The location for this image is Fawsley Hall Hotel between Banbury and Northampton. We were in quite a fancy bedroom where the bridal party was getting ready in the morning. The room itself was several times larger than my house!
