These images show the critical time (for photographers at least) of the wedding ceremony - the symbolic exchanging of the wedding rings and the first kiss. The image on the right page shows another pivotal moment in the wedding day, and the part that makes the whole event legal - the singing of the register.
I really like the lower left image on the left page, as the vicar has just told the bride and groom that they are officially married - Deborah's reaction to this news is just amazing, and I'm really glad I managed to capture this image. I also really like the image of the bride and groom's first kiss which again is a very important part of the day. You can really see the love that the couple share, with the bride placing her hands on the face of her husband and pulling him in.
The light inside Birtsmorton Court Church can be slightly difficult to work in as a photographer as it flickers, but quickly enough that you can't see it with the naked eye. In order to get around this issue, for the signing of the register photo I used flash which I bounced into the white church ceiling, providing the lovely soft like you see here.
The image that makes up the background image for the left hand page was one of the photos that I took as I was waiting for the bride to make her entrance. I particularly like how you get to see the roof of the church, as it's not easily apparently in the other images.
