One of the most important shots for me as a wedding photographer is getting those finishing-touch photos of the bride. Some brides will choose to have their makeup finished first, so they're ready to go and if we're running short of time, there's less stress on the bride - but some will choose to go last in the order of the day, meaning their makeup will look as fresh as possible, but then you also run the risk of being the latest when it comes to getting ready. I try to avoid too many photos of people without any makeup on at all, but there is a key crossover point between taking too many invasive photos and not taking enough photos at all. Some of the ones I like taking the most of the bride getting ready include eyebrows being brushes, mascara being applied and any lip work including lip pencils and lipstick.
