It's great getting photos of the groom before the ceremony. They often have the benefit of being ready an hour or so before the service begins, so there's time to take them to a decent location and actually take your time with the photos. For this image of Chris, I decided to use the large windows from the corridor that runs alongside the ceremony room. The direction light is like that you'd see in a studio, and it's really a joy to work with. The black and white conversion also makes this a much more powerful image, removing what could otherwise be distracting colours from the photo.
