Bredenbury Court Barn wedding venue is in Herefordshire, just past Bromyard. It's a relatively new wedding venue, having opened it's doors for it's first wedding in June of 2019.
There is a lot of outdoor space here, which means plenty of opportunity when it comes to taking wedding photos. As Rosalind and Arjan's wedding was taking place in October, there was no guarantee that we would experience good weather. As it happens, it had been very wet in the run-up to their wedding and a lot of the grass around the venue was sodden. Because of this, I wanted to keep the group photos on solid ground as best I could. There was a large gravel area to the front of the building that used to be the main entrance to the private school. The background was still perfectly green which meant it was the perfect area for wedding photography. In order to get the most natural appearance from these wedding photos, I used a long lens and stood as far back as I reasonably could. This gives the photos a much more natural feel and enables the people in the image to interact without having a camera sticking directly in their faces.
