Manor by the Lake Wedding Album Pages 16 & 17

Manor by the Lake Wedding Album

These pages show the bride and groom signing the register, entering their details quite literally into the annals of history.

These photos have a lovely delicate quality to them as all of the people in the photos are in an area of shade, which is more more flattering for the couple and much easier to work with for the photographer.

The main image on the left page shows the bride and groom making their way back down the aisle, now husband and wife.

The right page image shows the photo I alluded to earlier in the writeup for this album, and for me this image is really symbolic. Earlier in the album we saw the groom, a single man walking down this hundred metre long path alone if not for his best man. Similarly, we saw the bride walking down, a single lady, escorted by her father, maid of honour and bridesmaids. In this image, we properly see the bride and groom together for the first time as man and wife. For me, it's really important that there's no one else in this image, and that the photograph solely portrays the newly married couple alone together.

I love how the bride and groom are framed between the enourmous green bushes that are either side of the path. The colour really adds to the image, setting off the bride's white wedding dress as well as the groom's blue suit at the same time.
