Saint Georges Church Wedding

Inside the church, when it was time for the bride and her father to walk down the aisle, the vicar very kind stepped to one side to allow me a better view back down the church. This also enabled me to frame the bride and her dad between Karl, his best men and her maid of honour, who were all looking back to the bride and her dad at the time this photo was taken.

Below, we can see the bride and groom, finally together on their wedding day. I chose to take a wide angle photo at this stage of the wedding - it's often very easy to be tempted to zoom right in on the bride and groom, and overlook the wedding guests, but I think it's always nice to show the size and scale of a wedding, whether it's 4 guests or 400.

For the images on the right page, I stood further back and shot with a longer lens. The top image shows the bride and groom, part way through their wedding both looking back at their wedding guests. I was fortunate in that I was able to compose the image in this way, shooting through some wedding flowers that I used to form a natural frame for the bride and groom.

One of my favourite features of this double page spread, is the image that I used for the page background. Subtle and hard to notice at first, it shows a wonderful moment that makes absolutely the perfect image to set the other images on to. It shows the bride and groom's first kiss as husband and wife, and I'm so pleased that I was able to get this image into the wedding album.
