This was my first wedding at Barns and Yard, a gorgeous venue near Hanley Swan, a couple of miles from the Malvern Hills on which I currently live. I'd been really excited to work there from the second I met Kasia, the bride, at the venue for a pre-wedding meeting a couple of months before their big day. The venue, as I'm sure you'd be surprised to hear from the name, consist of barns, and a yard. There's also a massive pond, areas of manicured lawns as well as some longer, meadowy grasses and a gorgeous wooden bridge that takes you from the side of the pond onto a small island that even has some decking. Barns and Yard looks how a venue would look if you had a photographer design it; the indoor ceremony room is north facing, meaning it's in constant shade (the best possible thing for photos) but light oozes in through the triple aspect windows. The sun sets behind the Malvern Hills, inline with the bridge over the lake and makes for epic golden hour shots. What's really impressive is when you arrive, the venue even give you a map which shows the locations of the best photo spots! Anyway you've probably had enough of reading this bumf. Check out the utterly gorgeous photos below!
